Hey all
I got a message from Mr.Zaki that on 12th May(Mon) after finals, there will be an International Conference on Civil Engineering Performance, at the Hyatt Hotel, Kuantan. I'm not sure who will be attending but my guess is the the big guns. Our performance will be during the dinner held there. There are several issues to discuss:
Who's performing?
Currently the performers who have shown the green light are:
1. Jo Ann
2. Koh Kelvin
3. Firdaus
4. Ezrin
5. Ariff
6. Ainul
7. Kai Bin
8. Chi Hui
What songs?
Mr.Zaki said 8-10 songs but since finals end on 8th May, we've only got 2-3 days to prepare, so max is 5-6 songs.
Payment
Mr.Zaki said that we will receive payment for the performance. I'd like to ask how will we receive the payment? I'm suggesting EACH PERFORMER will receive the same amount of payment AND a commission of 5-15% of that payment will go to the OG. So let's say they pay each person RM100, if the commission is 10%, RM10 goes to the OG, and the performer will take home RM90. That's just an example, please let me know what you think. Plus if they are going to pay us, we have to make sure that our performance is SOLID. No fumbling. We can't afford to make any mistakes.
Rehearsal
I don't know if Mr.Indra will train us again, we've to wait for more information.
So please discuss about this event here. Let me know if you can/want to perform, I'll add your name to the list. Thanks.

but im sure it's gonna b fun 
As 4 da payment....i tink 5-15% is ok 4 me lo...
wat i tink is...we r performin because we love music rite???
payment is lik jz an incentive 2 motivate us 2 do better......
n most important is we learn new things....n we enjoy da process n performance   |

Yeah true...we'll wait for other opinions too...I myself ain't sure if I want them to pay RM50 per person including commission, or Rm30 x no. of performers = payment to OG...

About the payment, i really got no idea... Never think of it...
If they want to pay for OG then i think depends on how many songs lo. Maybe 1 song RM50?

we should be paid, the higher the better...hehe...
cos if we perform for free...ppl might not appreciate our effort....
den nex time.....we can consider to put it as a condition for any society/event tat wants to invite us to perform for them......if not, if we get famous...we'll be very very very busy.......hehe... |

i 1 2 perform so much oso.....but change flight ticket is so mahal la...
n bout da payment...we r talkin bout how much shud we charge them 4 each song??o bout our opinions on contribute 5-15% of da payment to OG grp??
if about da charge on each song....sure we 1 as high s possible lo...
lik tat da 5-15% tat goes in OG grp oso increase ma.....haha  |

got 1 question, who's the drummer? or no drummer dis time? if our MAKUM drummer can't go, is there any replacement?
n bout payment huh...me wan money. me wan cash. me wan cash so me can eat good food so me got good nutrient for me body to continue play music. me wan money. muahahahaa....is dis acceptable? |

Yeah Shahrel won't be able to perform for this event, neither can he come for the camp...because he has signed up to work for the holidays already. I'm thinking of inviting UMP students who can play drum to join us. We have to think about the future when Shahrel will no longer be with us
So on about the drummer, how do we get one? Post an announcement?

Yeah we need to find a new drummer. I spoke to Mr.Musif, we can do an audition but the problem is WHERE to do it? We know UMP lacks a proper place to do an activity like that...
About the payment, are there any suggestions?
I'm suggesting:
1. Each performer receives RM15.
2. The OG receives RM5 X no. of perfomers as commission.
That's my take.

I'm ok with the suggested payment.
About the drummer, can we do the audition in the office? I'm not sure about the proper way to conduct the audition, maybe guitarbengkok is more experienced in this
