WTF? Who on earth did that? Nutcases. But to be fair, I've no idea which is the lesser evil: the power-crazy, all-for-change-but-it'll-cost-ya nutter or the womanizing-possible-woman-killer doofus.

Quote:
PETALING JAYA: Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan has set up his turf on the blogosphere and its title Demi Allah, Agama, Bangsa dan Negara (For God, Religion, Race and Country) shows what might be expected from his postings.

So far, the blog has garnered more than a hundred comments in three postings some supporting and some scathingly critical of him.

In his latest posting on Friday, Mohd Saiful, the man who has accused Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of sodomy, told of his duties as a coffee boy during his time in Anwar's camp.

Mohd Saiful said he assisted Anwar's chief of staff, Ibrahim Yaacob, in managing Anwar's schedules and arranged confidential meetings with Barisan Nasional MPs who wanted to switch to the Opposition.

These meetings took place at a Desa Damansara condominium, he said in his plain-looking website, adding that a PAS branch chief named En Hassanudin owned the condo.

The entry went on to list the three overseas trips on which he accompanied Anwar: Hong Kong in early May, Bangkok in late May and Singapore from June 16 to 18.

Mohd Saiful also asked his readers to be patient, adding that he would disclose more in court later.

He then wished Anwar the best in contesting presumably referring to the election for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat, which Anwars wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail vacated for him on Thursday

So after you are sodomized, you still have the bloody courtesy to wish your attacker the best of luck??

****, shows that it was a freaking scam after all

PostPosted: Thu Aug 07, 2008 6:18 pm    Post subject: Anwar Ibrahim charged with sodomy Reply with quote

If the HRW is making noise, then something's really wrong.

Quote:
Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has been formally charged with sodomising a former male aide.

Appearing in court in Kuala Lumpur, Mr Anwar pleaded not guilty and called the accusation "malicious".

He says the allegations are politically motivated. The 60-year-old was jailed after facing similar accusations 10 years ago.

Since his release he has been active in politics but, until recently, was not able to officially run in elections.

Mr Anwar arrived at the main court in Kuala Lumpur amid chaotic scenes.

Dozens of supporters gathered as he emerged from his car - some shouting "reformasi", the slogan of the movement he founded.

Revival

In court, Mr Anwar was charged with "carnal intercourse against the order of nature".

Sodomy is illegal in Malaysia and he could face up to 20 years in jail if convicted.

After Thursday's hearing, he was released on bail.

Mr Anwar led the new opposition coalition to strong gains in a general election earlier this year. He says the claims are aimed at derailing his political revival.

The accusation is the same as the one he faced in 1998 - after he had been sacked as deputy prime minister.

He was convicted and served six years before the guilty verdict was overturned.

The BBC's Robin Brant in Kuala Lumpur says a recent opinion poll suggests that few Malaysians believe Mr Anwar committed the crime.

Mr Anwar has accused Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi of orchestrating a campaign against him - Mr Abdullah has denied this.

The charge was made just as Mr Anwar prepared to fight for a seat in parliament, after a ban on his seeking public office expired.

In a statement, US-based group Human Rights Watch called on the Malaysian government to withdraw the charges.

"Several instances of misconduct" during the investigation showed the charges were "aimed at preventing Anwar from leading a new government", the group said in a statement.

^The apparent people vying for PM post are just doofuses. Sigh.

Here's a good question: Why isn't Saiful charged too? Asked by PKR leade :/

Quote:
PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim pleaded not guilty to sodomising his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan over a month ago.

The partys de facto leader denied having committed the offence at Desa Damansara Condominium in Jalan Setiakasih, Bukit Damansara, between 3.01pm and 4.30pm on June 26.

The news that got many excited yesterday however, was that he walked out of court after posting a non-surety personal bond of RM20,000.

At the outset yesterday, when his name was called at 10.10am yesterday for the charge to be read out to him before Sessions judge S.M. Komathy Suppiah, Anwar who will turn 61 on Sunday, smiled and walked slowly to the dock under the watchful eyes of those in the packed courtroom.

Upon hearing the charge, Anwar said: It is malicious slander and a betrayal. I am not guilty.

Solicitor-General Datuk Idrus Harun, who led a four-man prosecution team, asked for bail to be set at RM20,000 in one surety and Anwars passport be surrendered to the court but lead defence counsel Sulaiman Abdullah went further to request for his client to be released on a personal bond.

Sulaiman said the nine-man defence team objected to the court retaining the passport saying there would be no possibility of Anwar absconding.

Anwar is contesting for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat and has a strong possibility of going to Parliament. This morning it was announced that he would be made the Opposition Leader. It is inconceivable that he will not turn up in court for his case, he said.

Sulaiman urged the court to consider Anwars public standing and the fact that he had cooperated with the authorities during investigations into the case.

Komathy then asked investigating officer DSP Jude Pereira, who is also Brickfields CID chief, if Anwar had been cooperative, to which, DSP Pereira said Yes.

She then asked Idrus whether there was a possibility of Anwar absconding or tampering with the witnesses, to which he said: It is difficult to say but the possibility is always there.

Sulaiman then argued that the case was an ideal one to grant a bond to let Anwar know that the law was on his side.

This case is a rare case, but of course the second or third time, he said drawing laughter from people in the public gallery. Anwar also smiled.

Anwar smiled as the judge, who granted the bond, inquired whether his birthday would be on Sunday. He confirmed it and thanked the judge for the bond, causing all his supporters in the courtroom to applaud and cheer loudly.

Komathy also set Sept 10 for mention pending any application to transfer the case to the High Court.

Speaking to reporters later, Anwar who signed his bond papers at 11.12am, said his case is not a normal case and that the defence would ask for a copy of the police report on the allegations against him.

He also asked why Saiful was not charged for the offence.

Just imagine if Saiful had to sit in the same dock with me, what to do? he asked as he winked at reporters and laughed aloud.

He also said that he had been teased and advised by his friends that he should learn a lesson not to have a young, smart and handsome man around me.

I was told that I couldnt bring a pretty girl. She (his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail) will object.

I cannot bring a young man or old man. I can only bring an 80-year-woman on a wheelchair. I will be safe. If it's a pretty girl, Azizah will strangle me, he said with laughter.

hmm..

i don't know about the malaysia politics is controlled by one race. i'll rather said it's being controlled by a dynasties..
In short, the family of Tun Abd Razak, family of Tun Hussein, Family of Tun Mahathir and family of Abdullah Badawi.

I not being offensive or anything but, i can predict who will be the deputy prime minister if Dato Seri Najib Razak did became the prime minister in 2010.
Maybe is Hishamuddin Hussein. Because they are cousin by birth. The wife to Tun Hussein and Tun Abd Razak is siblings...

^Hey radin long time no see Smile

I totally agree with you, I had thought of it that way...after Najib, it'll be Hishamuddin. After him, probably Dr.Sheikh Muszaphar (kidding haha).

But yeah the "dynasty" idea is true...It's not really about race, it's about keeping a legacy...The sucky part is the person holding the torch is probably the wrong one to do so.
