|
|
As all OG members know, we have been wearing non-uniform attires for performances all these time. It is a common thing for an organisation, like the Orchestra Group, to show the outside world on our unity. One of the ways is by a well-designed costume.
Well, the main reason we could not decide for the costume for OG since a long time ago is the GIRLS as we couldn't match the attires of the Malay girls who mostly prefer to wear baju-kurung or long-skirt and non-Malay girls who mostly don't have long skirt and limited baju-kurung. There is problem for choosing baju kurung as well because there are so many types of baju kurung and their designs that we couldn't find a suitable one for every girls.
This thread is opened to get ideas from you guys on the OG costume which is applicable for everyone (different for guys and girls definitely ):
1. Types of clothes
2. Colour
3. Design
My ideas:
1. Main Theme: ELEGANT
2. Main theme of colour: BLACK
3. For guys - Formal long-sleeved shirt, Tie, Formal pants, Formal shoes
4. For girls - A few designs of Scarfs can be added for different performances _________________ ash_ash

Great idea ash
My ideas:
1. Guys
- Black-gray color
- Shirt, long-sleeved with the OG motif (very possibly the logo in black-gray colors)
- Black pants/slacks
- Tie, blank gray
2. Girls
- Black-gray color with OG motif
- Collared long-sleeved blouse OR
- Baju kebaya OR
- Baju Kedah (the one ash wore for Convo'07) OR
- Baju kurung (black/gray headscarve for Muslims)
I like the baju kebaya idea because at the recent MAKUM, the UUM team wore kebaya & it was NICE _________________ ~music pours on mortals her magnificent disdain~ |

I think in some occations, it's preferable to make the attire looked really formal, so for that kind of events, we should NOT wear slacks. _________________ ash_ash |

Slacks = Informal Trousers (I think basically are those which looked informal. Eg: pants with many pockets, over-patterned, buttons, informal material of cloth etc) _________________ ash_ash

Actually long-sleeved blouse means have to match with skirt or pants or something...So can you all give some ideas on what to match with? Plus long-sleeved blouse got many types? Im thinking just the normal plain blouse, or something more complicated, or just pick as suitable according to individuals? Anymore idea guys? _________________ ash_ash |

I was thinking if its dark, then we use the LOGO as pattern on the blouse. For guys & girls...
I'm liking the idea of baju kurung/kedah more & more _________________ ~music pours on mortals her magnificent disdain~ |

Coz as i said, if for Baju kurung, how actually you all gonna get the same pattern and all? Unless its tailor-made for everyone, and then make it jus simple and plain dark colour. And then can add different accessories to suit different events. _________________ ash_ash |
