^Where did you hear that from? In any case, if US is losing money fast, it's not because of the space endeavours, it'd be the military expenses for Iraq & Afghanistan, IMO.

HELL YEAH, it's UNDENIABLE and it's TRUE that the US government is BROKE and its all because of the financial aids they have been giving out to most of the DEVELOPING COUNTRIES including MALAYSIA. JESUS CHRIST!! SERIOUSLY....

I guess the blown-out-of-proportion 'Malaysian PRIDE' issue does come with a hefty price to PAY.........(NOT so fast, I havent finished my line. I was trying to contain my anger) ONLY IF IT'S WORTH THE HEAVEN. Rolling Eyes

For whatever reasons that a wiseman can come up with, the money(oh and how much was it??) shud have been invested in the recent mind boggling issue ------------>subsidies for our country's imported grains..This seems to be causing our country's high level politicians to get a big headache, but not when it comes to wasting that USD25 million(dun forget the other USD900 million) and flushing it down the drain.....FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH and all i can think of is it ends up as biosludge at Indah Water Konsortium's waste water treatment plants.

^Agreed. Now that food & fuel are becoming more critical in terms of supply & funding, it aches to know that so much has gone for something that wasn't really necessary/urgent to do now.

And hell the gov is done revising the subsidies...Seems like the portending RM0.30 to RM0.40 hike per liter of gas will take effect soon...Be prepared as the 'dumb***' in power is putting on a monkey show for us.

Get this---> there's an impending protest to be staged by PAS in KL over the price hike of gasoline and diesel on friday june 13. This has been reported on NYT today and they r estimating as many as 20,000 ppl to throng the city center. Can anyone fill me in over that doubtful NYT report?

it's a mob scene everywhere from europe to asia over the recent fuel price hikes. i can't believe that's pushed the button for everyone to go that far. luckily, there hasn't been any serious scene in NYC. imagine the magnitude of a major protest here in NYC, it'd be deadly.

i dun think we need another thread since these two are actually bisected. we seem to have ditched that angkasawan stuff for awhile now and started discussing bout food and fuel price hikes. starting a new thread doesn't really pay off other than making the forum look messy. and we are not talking bout price hikes in their entirety in this thread miss admin.

BTW, did u hear bout the protest in KL? whether that NYT report was attested i really am not sure..
