Good day

I'd like to propose a new rule.

You must post a message (in any section) within 100 days after your account has been activated. It's all right to lurk around for a while, but we expect you to participate as well.

What do you guys think? We have several passive members, this rule is practiced in other forums, I feel we should encourage members to participate. Tell me what you think. Thanks.

Update: Well this will be a simple poll Smile

1. Yes, they should post "something"
2. No, let them post when they want to
3. 100 days is too long. Make them post earlier
4. Give 'em more time.

Hi, i don't actually understand the 3rd choice...

Posting 100 days after Account Activation
1. Yes, they should post "something"
2. No, let them post when they want to
3. 100 days is too short. Make them post earlier
4. Give 'em more time

em... did you mean that 100 days is too long, they should post earlier? or what?

Yeah means instead of 100 days, they post in 60 days, for example. Basically it means we shouldn't be so lenient

Correct. Means if you vote no.3, you want them to post in LESS THAN 100 DAYS after activation. You're right, I'm off to edit it now Smile

^No problem, it's good to share opinion. My problem is mostly technical. If I had to restrict access to certain forums for certain members, it's not feasible because then other registered members will be barred as well. I can't specifically close off the members who are already registered. The only thing I can do is BAN them. That's messy & uncomfortable. Wink

Hm but IMO, I don't want people coming here because of the REWARDS we post...I think I rather people come here to share views & opinions...That's the main purpose of the forum in the first place Rolling Eyes

Actually i still think everyone has own right to choose when they want to post... Its no point pushing...this might cause opposite effect from members if we insisted to execute this thing Neutral that's just my opinion Confused
