ever heard of music camps?
do u think u guys can set up at least a few of them during the holidays?
lets hope dat der r no xtra classes during the holidays...
it's better so dat the students dun nid 2 come back every week and FORGET what have been taught...
just a thought of it..  |

About the music camp, in the takwin already put on 2 or 3 bengkel music something like that la. We actually plan to have a camp right after the Final Exam, which is around middle of May.
We are waiting HEPA for the presentation of our program.

Yeah we planned for 3 camps this year. The first one will be in UMP, the other two will be in UPSI & UMS. We will collaborate with the Pusat Kebudayaan at these 2 universities. The first camp will be in May, I think we'll have Mr.Indra, Grace, Wei Yang (if you guys can make it) & Mr.Kent (guitar) to come & train us. It's a 5 day camp, I think the program is to rehearse a couple of songs together.
I think this is more appropriate in the OG Activities section

Hahahaha...it's okay, I was waiting for someone to talk about this anyway
Anyhow the program manager for the first camp is Yew Soon...he should be along soon

u can ask chi hui how we suffered in our camps...hehe..
as in 7.00 or 7.30am till 11.00pm or 12 am prektising everyday...
tiring...but real fun...it's like realizing u have another family under ur sleeves.... |

Hahahah...usually how long do the camps last? Internally run or you get trainers from outside?

u mean during camp? trainers from outside is a must...
it wont mean anything if we train for so long by ourselves...
maximum a week..but during my time once we lasted for 2 weeks... 
for beginners den mayb u can start out wif 3 or 4 days...
if u dun wan the whole time wif the trainer oso nvm... can split the timing..
coz wanna giv u guys the time to practice by urself too rite... |

trust me it's even more tiring den it sounds...
it's actually better bcause we dun nid 2 keep track of time... |

I mean what DO you do in the camp?
Is it like they set what songs to play by the end of the camp & we practise until the songs are good, or something different altogether?
UPDATE
Mr.Zaki said that the bengkel will be on 13-18May. I will confirm again if the program has been approved. If it has we will have to PROMOTE it to OG members...Any opinions?

If according to the announcement at std, it looks like it wasn't approved. But I will confirm with Mr.Zaki, he said that they will be doing camps for other groups like gamelan, so it will be under the unit. I will confirm again. But now I think the pressing question is: WHO'S GOING FOR THE CAMP?
We have to decide the format of the camp already. Some people (like Sheila & David, even May) definitely can't go, so we may have to decide what are we going to do in that camp?
