|
|
Hi I want to ask:
Since I doubt we'll get new brass instruments (horn, euphonium etc) this sem (probably next sem they will arrive), is it possible to get JUST the mouth piece for the students?
1. Should the students buy their own mouthpiece? Why?
2. Where can we get the mouthpiece?
Hopefully someone will be able to help me out in this because I'm thinking about future classes. Thanks _________________ ~music pours on mortals her magnificent disdain~ |

What i know is that normally a band won't but only a mouthpiece, because every instrument will have their own mouthpiece. And i don't think we want to ask our members to buy mouthpiece, it will be expensive and not pratical. _________________ I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failuretry to please everybody.

Oh okay..because I was wondering for our members who are going to learn euphonium...they should still join the practical class too? Or not? That's 1 of the reason why I'm asking the question _________________ ~music pours on mortals her magnificent disdain~ |

Hm you're right. So I guess there's no need to get the mouthpiece alone right? It's not practical _________________ ~music pours on mortals her magnificent disdain~ |

here r some websites i recommend if u wanna buy mouthpieces..
sorry i din c ur post c0z i've been bz lately...
erm....it's so much better if students r able to buy their 0wn m0uthpiece...
because the mouthpiece that comes with the instrument is just a standard mouthpiece...for some students who really2 wants to further improve their skills in their instruments they r advised to buy their 0wn m0uthpiece...
because if they r more then 1 students using a single instrument..den u guys will have to share the mouthpieces...
but think wisely b4 buyin them because it's not cheap at all...
it's not as easy as changing strings in the violin...
brass and woodwinds r definitely harder to handle compared to strings...

You have to find out if we have enough trombones for us to let students use. Better wait for next year to find out. _________________ ~music pours on mortals her magnificent disdain~ |
