Creating a perfect community is not a sin.

However for me, too much restriction and order could kill the creativity and the sensitivity of the people inside the community.

We are now under the control of a strict community, but we are not always going to stay inside it.

A day will come when we are 'released' from it.

What would become of our peers who had never feel the essence of freedom?

I wonder...

Hm...I think I've discussed this in Ethnic Relations class before...

We were discussing our views on separating guys & girls at the cafe...

No pros to that. Only cons:

1. Inhibit development of communication skills.

This doesn't help us to communicate with each other. What happened to girls who are shy with guys and vice versa? I've been told that when this happens, the individual will have "culture shock"...a nice shy guy became a playboy when he left boarding school & entered matriculation.

Plus the engineering world is male-dominated. What will happen if they enforce stupid rules like that?? Girls can't communicate well with guys & they get left behind in their profession.

Another prevalent issue would be making more difficult for us to carry out uni programs because the cafe is a popular place to meet, it's impractical to have to book a DK/BK for every bloody meeting we want to do.

2. Plain stupidity

It's just plain stupidity. What the hell are they thinking?? This is WORSE than being in kindergarten. What kind of image does this bring to other people? UMP is full of horny kids, they HAVE to separate by gender? Goodness. Embarrassing image. And I thought we were a world-class university *snort*

That's my view. You've got to let people grow up or they'll never learn. Idiots

True.

Globalization comes with a price. Its pro's and con's are seemingly unbalanced but we just have to work through it.

Even our representatives couldn't see whats coming in the near future. They are bloody passive. What the hell are they fighting for us? More rules to abide?

I'm not saying that they should remove all the regulations, but just cutting us some slacks would be enough.

We do not need any more stiff personnels representing us in the system. I think we need to counter them and make them feel just a little bit unease.

Its true that their job is not as easy as it looked, but they were the one who asked for it. At least, show that they have the guts or the brains to make some things happens for us.

The system here is getting even more ridiculous and too ideal for human beings. I guess they have been working with robots and machines too long that they could not tell the difference.

I wonder. Is this kind of segregation referable to the Ministry? With the election wrapping up, it would be a nice publicity for the new minister.

Hehehe...

Advice to the uni's management: They should go n take some psychology courses la!!!! lt's human nature(esp youths like us) will more likely to break a stupid rule like tat whn being oppressed by tat immature rule. don't u think it's too childish for a university to practise tis kinda rule? moreover l think they've violated da most basics of human rights... we're adults n we should hv a healthy relationships btw opposite sex n we should hv rights to date or be friends with opposite sex.... l think they're really perverts!!!! l dun think tis uni deserves 3 stars at all needless to say abt goin international. coz primitive thinking is preventing a community to upgade themselves!!! sigh... lt's a sad thing.

I personally think that UMP administrative and the managerial board didn't undergo youth life before.

They have a bored youth life, a restricted youth life, not mature thinking, and basically they could be of kampung boys and girls.

No offence. But living in here is way to hell, moreover, learning from TITAS for my time, and ethics for you all, is completely, a bluntly different acts from the way they impose rules on us.

Well, pretty sad to see these people grow up in the society. The outcast one. They need a little brain-washed on themselves, not they are the social cast out one.

Yeah its like they are using the subjects to CONTROL us, to BRAINWASH us to accept their rules & oppression.

Bah.

No way. I just hope that 1 day someone will REMEMBER that THEY were young too & that what they are doing (coercive environment haha remember sifu? Twisted Evil ) WON'T HELP ANYONE.

Jeez they should grow up.

WOW, I cant believe this has been going on for like since March and I'm only responding to it NOW. Very Happy

Well, the rules are plain stupid and only MORONS and BABBOONS cud have come up with them. As far as I can see, they are encouraging GAYS and LESBIANS to multiply in UMP. I seriously am not being UNFAIR to the GAYS and LESBIANS, but I'm only trying to slam the door in that USTAZ's face instead. He, shud be an ANTI-GAY activist as far as MATTERS are concerned since he is A MUSLIM. However, banning A GIRL and A BOY from sitting together at A TABLE AT THE CAFE is nuthing more than preventing normal and NON-GAY ATTRACTION/SEXUAL ORIENTATION. WORSE still, a guy and a girl can't be seen in a car? Well then, are we supposed to go out in a pair of BOYS and a pair of GIRLS? Shud we be telling them that WE ARE LIFE PARTNERS and WE ARE GAYS and LESBIANS and you can't take our names down since the rules only cover those NON-GAY PAIRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, well we really can't dismiss the fact that THEY ARE OF ORANG UTAN ORIGINS. HELL Charles Darwin muz be REALLY HAPPY AND ELATED that someone finally agreed to his theory. Twisted Evil

^Hahahaha, you must be bored enough to read this old thread :p

Well I agree. I think they have to encourage us to have a healthy mindset about being in a romantic relationship. They shouldn't be planting ideas that sex is a BAD thing; if it was bad, why would God make it so pleasurable? Or why would God make sex the way to reproduce if it was bad?

I think it should be their responsiblity as a man/woman of God to encourage us to think the right things. Sex is a natural function. Face it; we all have urges, we all have lusts. Without these feelings, we wouldn't have a NEED to get things. It's better, IMO, to ACCEPT that you've these things going on & then learn how to MANAGE them. You can't get rid of it. You can only CONTROL it.

Saying that, I'm not asking y'all to "go forth & multiply". Use some common sense. Don't go out & think with your dick, in layman's terms. Being adults, we should be aware of the consequences if we are not careful. Think as adults.

I'm just annoyed that they try to make it seem like sex is sinful. Imagine if I was naive enough to believe them. How on earth am I going to let myself be intimate with my husband, when I'm TERRIFIED of the idea of sex? It's not going to help me enjoy the next level of intimacy with the man I love.

So yeah that's my 2 cents on this. Sex isn't a bad thing. Don't listen to warped notions. Doesn't do anyone any good to listen to nonsense.

Haha Very Happy

Jo Ann sounded so lustful!

Huhu Very Happy

But then again, i do think they are getting too strict with the rules.

I feel like its getting harder to breath freely inside.

Moreover, the admins are getting crazier every year.

Isk3...

I'm going crazy also, trying to accept and to think ways to overcome such nonsense.

^Hahaha I knew someone would say that :p

I just hope people won't be naive thinking that sex is a sin or that sex is wrong. That's not a truth & it's just plain awful that someone who should KNOW better (being married/older = supposedly more mature) would tell such vicious lies.
