From the dicussion here, I was wondering if we should have a monthly recital.

Mechanism:

1. Only new performers can take part.
2. Monthly recitals; venue will depend on the situation.
3. Duration: 0.5-1hr, depends on the content
4. Content: free theme; any song goes as long as it's appropriate.
5. Each section will have to present a piece, either solo/duet/trio/quartet/etc or combined.

Purpose:

1, To train new performers on stage.
2. To add more performers to the group.
3. To share music with audience (UMP community)

So any suggestions about this? Perhaps this will begin next sem, I think it's abit late to prepare it this sem Smile

i have a suggestion.
Maybe we can let old player also join in the performance. Like one old performer with 3-4 new performers to form 1 group to perform. How? Laughing

Yeah I agree. We don't just throw them on-stage... Twisted Evil

I think we'll do this next sem...But we've got to prepare them for it, perhaps by telling them to be ready for it? Laughing

Monsieur Ban Sheng will always be ready for that, so are Monsieur Chee Hong et Monsieur Yee Chuen.
Monsieur Kelvin, I declare the approval.
As Madamoiselle Jo Ann said, it's going to be a very cool performance.

Well Monsiuer Ban Sheng, I would be happy to watch you perform for us Laughing

To all new performers, we can select easy songs for them, then they pick & work on that song for 1 month before they perform... Wink

It depends. In that recital, there's suppose to be 1 performance from each section, or combined performance.

So if there's 5 min a song, & there's violin, wind, guitar, keyboard & drum, I'm thinking 3-4 performances; that's about 20-30 min...1 hr is too long hahahah unless you calculate the time for setting up etc :p
