Hi everyone!

From my experience as an active forumer somewhere Rolling Eyes , forum games are fun & also a great way to improve ties among the members. However, how do you make sure that the game thread isn't just a long trail of spam?

Here are some items you SHOULD put in the FIRST post of the game thread:

Set post limits

Determine the number of replies a member can post in that thread, for example: 2 post limit means a member can only post TWICE in the thread. Ensure that the limit is appropriate. If the limit is too high, the quality of the thread decreases. However if the limit is too small, the game may not be fun & may end up as a dead thread. So set a reasonable post limit. When you think that you should change the limit to suit the game, only the AUTHOR of the thread/MOD/ADMIN can edit the post limit.

Explain the format of the game

Describe the game briefly & provide simple examples of how it would proceed.

No spam

Certain games will not be allowed on this forums. The thread shall be locked if it doesn't encourage quality posts. For example, the Random Thread where members just post about random things without meaning or purpose. This kind of thread will not be permitted.

Etiquette

Game threads are fun, sometimes you can start a game thread to tease other people. But please bear in mind that you CANNOT directly insult an individual on the forum, may it be his/her religion, race etc. Keep the game light & humorous.

I will update this guide from time to time. Feel free to add comments of your own here.

Thanks Very Happy
