What's Parasite Eve about? I've never heard of it before...I assume it's gory & stuff haha

^hhahahahahaa...it's not as gory and gruesome as resident evil where u get to blow away some zombies' brains. so much for UMBRELLA CORP's divine dream of producing bioweapons by injecting t-virus into POWs, we get to see a lot of blood- and flesh-hungry zombies(the so called bioweapons).

parasite eve centers 'round the story 'bout extreme mitochondrial evolution. since mitochondria hav their own isolated DNA strands/codes in our cells, many scientists believe they existed as a separate organism before they incorporated in mutual existence into our cells. hence, parasite eve tells the story of highly-mutated sets of mitochondria attempting to wrest away the world from the human race. we all know mitochondria are the energy suppliers to our cells in the form of ATP. what happened if they rebeled and took over ur body? the answer is, u'd turn into an NMC(neo mitochondrial creature) completely under the control of ur mutated mitochondria. good heaven

the name 'parasite eve' refers to the mutated mitochondria. 'parasite' is coined together with 'eve'(the original name of the cultured kidney cells used to cultivate these mutated mitochondria) since these mutated mitochondria behave parasitically. juz as the name suggests, these mitochondria would demand oxygen from our cells to generate ATP to support their own cellular activities. normal average mitochondria won't hit off with such a thg as they live symbiotically with human cells: they still require oxygen as a requisite for energy, however the energy liberated will be used to support all cellular activities our cells need for motility, a simple symbiosis. since they, the mitochondria eve, are parasitic in their behavior, they hav a very short life span as a forfeiture. mother nature has always loved this rule.

so, how do u like the game so far? captivating & most importantly, tempting eh? this game actually stems from a novel by a japanese author called hideaki sena. the novel's titled kadokawa 'horror' bunko.

in fact, resident evil also comes from the brainchild of a japanese games designer
