Hello, for today Im going to talk bout future policies of the club.

We are thinkin of creating a bussiness card for the other clubs for future references, if they want to call us to perform (like the Orator Club that day) they can give us (the club) a call or by any means way of conversation to ask for a performance.

Let's say they want the Orchestra Group to perform on a particular date and time. They will have to contact the MT of the club and make reservations.

The neccesity of this?

1) It is easier for the club to actually ask for payments upon the club's performance (eg. We charge RM5 per performer in the OG group for the Malam Ambang Merdeka).

2) It is our right to actually be respected as a performer for we have dedicated our time and energy for the sake of other club's formal function.
(It is in our perlembagaan btw)

3) Tarian, Orchestra Group, Choir, Kompang, etc has always been the target of other clubs and the UMP admin itself to perform for events happening around UMP, and we are getting more and more invitation every year. (IEM on 17th July is in our calender, not mentioning convo in August... Hm... did I heard the MIS and Konsert Amal around September?... omg, I just remembered the NC wants to listen and watch the MAKUM performers in times to come... even Chest invites the OG group to their anual dinner... ExpoConvo is also hoping some slots for Choir, Silat, Kompang and other groups as well...)

The bussiness card is still in discusssion among the MT so... pls give your own opinion for this card. Thank You.

I support this idea because I agree, we need to appreciated. For the OG, we put in alot of effort to write the score, to arrange the music, to rehearse etc.

I think we deserve some compensation. So yeah I support the business card idea Wink

On that money note (ka-ching! Laughing

), is the Club going to have some sort of system? Like do we pay the performers or the group?

Just a quick question, who on earth took the member cards? Apparently someone took it for the OG & I've no idea who. We need the cards to get the chop for previous activities (namely the MAKUM music festival). Chop chop, people. Let me know ASAP! Thanks Wink
