It's going to be in UMP, no jungle trekking etc. It's a MUSIC CAMP. My ideas:

1. By the end of the camp, we will be able to play about 5-6 new songs. Operative word: NEW.

2. Schedule: Music all day & night.

3. Activities: There will be sectional practise, where we will train our individual parts within our section, followed by combined practice, where everyone comes together. If there is time, we will eat (kidding haha), perhaps have some motivational & fun activities together. I was thinking of having a special segment on how to set up the stage for performances, like the mike system etc...

That's what I had in mind for the camp Wink

How was the progress of the band camp? Is't approved?

If according to the announcement at std, it looks like it wasn't approved. But I will confirm with Mr.Zaki, he said that they will be doing camps for other groups like gamelan, so it will be under the unit. I will confirm again. But now I think the pressing question is: WHO'S GOING FOR THE CAMP?

We have to decide the format of the camp already. Some people (like Sheila & David, even May) definitely can't go, so we may have to decide what are we going to do in that camp?

Alright. But i thought the "band camp" should be under Yew Soon's program? He suppose to propose what he want to do during the band camp right?

Smile I'm looking forward to have the camp Smile
I think we have to quickly ask whether the camp is on or not before we ask for tutors to come.

UPDATE: Mr.Zaki said the program is approved, it wil be carried out under the USB, 13-18 May.

A few questions:

Who will join the camp?
Initially from my previous discussion with Yew Soon, the camp will be OPEN to UMP students, especially those under the OG. We targeted 55 people to join the camp. If it's going to be open, we HAVE TO QUICKLY PROMOTE the camp NOW.

What is the content of the camp?
This will be decided by Yew Soon...What will we do during the camp?

Tutors?
Who will be the instructor of the program? Mr.Zaki said that Mr.Indra and his gang will be in the camp. I think for instruments like strings & winds, it really depends on the content of the camp. If it's going to be about learning new songs & we will have more string & wind instruments, we have to decide if it's NECESSARY to invite the string & wind tutors to assist in the training.

MOD EDIT: Carry on the discussion in this thread.

Thread closed.
